What's cooler?

What's cooler than spending time with one of your favorite people?
Than seeing cool things in nature?
Than seeing Old Faithful?

Than jamming to great tunes on a road trip? Then smelling the sulfur in the hot pots?

Then seeing your name in Teton National Park?

Than seeing a REAL LIVE BEAR?
Spending time with Colette!

So, Catherine (my cousin disguised as my right hand woman and pseudo sister) and I decided to take a road trip through Yellowstone Park this June. We were having a great time. We had all intentions of returning the same day, but got this crazy idea to "pop" over to Pocatello (about 7 hours away) and surprise our aunt Colette. We didn't have ANYTHING with us, but we thought to ourselves, "Why not? A little spontaneity never hurt anybody!" We surprised her and had a fantastic time. We didn't want to come home! Thank heavens for great aunts that make driving 7 hours seem like a small price to pay in order to be in her company:Blogger

Holy Smokes, that bear picture scares me! I'm glad you survived.

And once again, I'm loving those sunglasses. Where did you get them?

Jessica, I'm so glad you have a blog. I love seeing pics from Wyoming. It is absolutely beautiful there. I spent my summers w/my grandparents in Cooke City, Montana, and always flew in through Cody. It is such a fun city!!!

Feeling HOT! HOT! HOT!

Basically I love my life in Wyoming. I am loving the weather, the outdoors, and all the fun things I get to do with my fantastic family and friends. I've mentioned Celeste before, but we are living it up and taking advantage of all the fun things Wyoming has to offer. One of these things is the Hot Springs in Thermopolis, Wyoming. It is a complete throw back to the 60's. In fact, my father loved swimming at the same pool as a child. You might smell a little like rotten eggs after swimming all day, but it is totally worth it for the experience!

It's all about the PLUNGE baby!!!

Old Dam Road: One of my all-time favorite places.

Old Dam Road

So, one of my all time favorite places in the ENTIRE world is the Old Dam Road just outside of Cody. I have so many memories of this beautiful place. One of the greatest things about this heavenly walk is that you feel a million miles away from town even though you are actually five minutes away from Wal-Mart (also one of my favorite Cody locations...) My friend Celeste and her darling baby Rowdy are living in Wyoming for the summer for her husband's job. Basically we spend the entire time laughing when we are together. I knew Celeste would love this walk as much as I do--we had a great time.
